Around here

Around here things have been pretty normal. My girls are both finally healthy, Abigail had a cold all winter and Natalie had had a cold for nearly her whole life until last week when she was put on z-pack for her ear infections and it also helped clear up her cold. Natalie continues to sleep like a champ at night and now if I could just get her to nap for more than 45 minutes at a time during the day I'd be set. Overall Natalie is a good baby, she still fusses quite a bit before she goes to sleep but she has finally figured out the whole pacifier thing and has been much happier.

So happy in fact that she is laughing.

And grinning.

And melting my heart.

Abigail has made great strides on the potty training front and I think it's safe to say we're pretty much in the clear. She was doing great and almost accident free up until Natalie's birth and then like everyone said she would she regressed terribly and I put her back in diapers. She was using it as a way to get attention and that was one battle I could not win. So about three weeks ago she asked to wear underwear again and she has now not had an accident for about 4 days. She still wears a diaper for nap and at night time and although she usually wakes up dry after nap I'm not quite ready to give that up cause I don't want her to wake up early from her nap cause she's wet. She has been enjoying the nicer weather and I feel bad cause it's been hard to be outside as much as she'd like. Natalie isn't quite used to it and I can't seem to find a way to make her comfortable, she can't seem to get comfortable in either the sling or the Baby Bjorn and the wind also makes her catch her breath and freak out. So Abigail and I have been going out while Natalie naps and I just bring the monitor. She got this scooter for her birthday that she loves.

She is also starting to enjoy a variety of games including memory. I like this picture because it looks like Abigail and Natalie are playing each other. (And yes Abigail does occasionally wear pants...but only if I make her.)

Things are pretty good around here.

Budding Artist

Abigail got this great easel from her Aunt Kristina for Christmas and she has been loving it! But up until last week she had just been coloring with crayons, dry erase markers and chalk. I finally got around to getting her the supplies to paint and she has been painting up a storm! I'm hoping she got some of her Uncle Mike's artistic abilities.

Take a guess

UPDATED: You guys crack up with your guesses! I laughed out loud at Kendra's guess that it was Dora and thought Micaela's guess that it was an eyeball was pretty creative too but Stef was right on with her guess of the imprint of someones ear. (I believe you Simply Complex that you were going to guess that too. :) ) It was an imprint of Miss Natalie's ear that was left there after her morning feeding the other day. The picture was taken several minutes later and it was even more detailed right afterwards. I don't know why I thought it was so funny...

I saw this on my arm this morning and it cracked me up....any idea what it is and how it got there?

My un-diaper, diaper bag

I am in LOVE with my new diaper bag that I got from my husband for Christmas. (OK, I ordered myself, wrapped it myself, labeled it myself and opened it myself on Christmas morning but the label said it was from my husband.) It's the perfect size, fancy but not too fancy, has both big shoulder straps and stroller hanger straps and if you ask me it doesn't look anything like a diaper bag. I have gotten lots of comments on it and I still get a smile on my face when I pick it up. It's the Skip Hop Studio and I LOVE it!

Natalie's 2 month stats

Natalie's two month check up was Monday and went pretty well. She's growing like a weed and handled the shots pretty well.

Her stats were:
weight: 12 pounds 7 ounces - 90th percentile
height: 23 1/2 inches - 90th percentile
head: 15 3/4 inches - 80th percentile

It cracks me up that when I look back at Abigail's 2 months stats and she was 16 pounds!!! I always knew she was chunky but she was beyond chunky she was fat! Here's Abigail at 2 months:

Happy Camper

Natalie has started smiling.

Hello Channing!

My Prince and I went out Friday night and saw Dear John. I had read and loved the book so I was excited to see it. Well the movie wasn't that great compared to the book but I still enjoyed it because John was played by Channing Tatum and he is gorgeous!!!! How did I never know about him before!! He was shirtless quite a bit in the movie and I also liked the role he played. I had to laugh when my prince complained about the movie because I was thoroughly entertained my Channing alone. See what I mean:

In the mail.

Natalie Rae's birth announcements went into the mail Saturday so I thought I'd share them with you all as well. I ordered them from Instyle Cards and was extremely happy with them. They also did Abigail's annoucments and since I hadn't started blogging then I thought I'd share hers too.
